02 / Affordability & Opportunity

The Utah Dream is out of reach.

Housing is the number one problem facing young people in Utah. Utahns who grew up here are being priced out of the communities they call home.

04 / Utah Heritage & Identity

Utah is changing fast.

Utah County alone grew from 659,392 people in 2020 to an estimated 759,860 in 2025, about 15 percent in five years. Growth is coming either way. The question is whether it keeps the safe, family centered communities that make Utah home, or prices out the families who built them.

Utah homes are also the largest in the country, with a median around 2,800 square feet. The starter home a young family needs has nearly disappeared.

03 / Government for the People

Government should answer to people.

Too many decisions that shape our communities happen without real transparency or accountability. Conflicts of interest go unchallenged and spending is hard to follow. Utahns deserve to see how decisions are made and who benefits.

When starter home reform came up in 2026, HB 184 died in a House committee 3 to 6. Good ideas stall when the people deciding aren't the people living with the results.

01 / Leadership & Public Service

Young Utahns are shut out.

The decisions that matter most to young Utahns, on zoning, lot sizes, fees and approvals, are made by city councils and planning commissions. Our generation is rarely in those seats.

Most young people are never asked to serve and never shown how. That is the gap the Initiative exists to close.
